The building's charm captured my attention immediately. It's an old structure, possibly around 150 years, with modern amenities that complement its antique feel. My room, although small, was beautifully decorated and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was well-prepared with a good variety of options. The location is superb, just a few steps from the train station. I was close to both the castle and museum, made sightseeing convenient. Unfortunately, the entrance stairs were a hassle with my heavy suitcase, and the heavy front door made entry a bit tricky. The sound insulation was poor. I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms and noise from the nearby bar. I had to switch rooms due to loud noises from the kitchen below, but the staff was very accommodating.

There were exceptionally comfortable beds and central heating, a work desk, and a TV set inside the room. Unbeatable location, good staff despite the best efforts of the staff.

Had rather limited breakfast, it might definitely be improved.

Lack of sound isolation!!! I could hear conversations from nearby rooms and noise from the sports bar outside!!! Ridiculously soft pillows and insufficient power outlets in the room were disappointing!!!

It is a historic building, the rooms are reasonably large and silent with a spatious bathroom.

The location was conveniently located downtown, within waling distance of the train, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are very nice and the staff is friendly.

Its charming historical atmosphere and a generous breakfast selection. The location near the train station allowed easy access to city sites as well.

The outdated decor could use a refresh, and noise from the kitchen was disruptive during the night, which detracted from the experience.

One pub at the other side of the street played rock'n roll music till 2 am and the windows are not sound proof. The curtains did not block the light from outside.

There were so many things I liked. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly (I had a lot of questions!). The view of Kalmar Castle out my window was beautiful. The breakfast was very extensive and delicious. And the location right next to the train station and the main town square was perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Location near the Frimurarehotellet as well as Close to rail station. Very quick check-in, late check-out, functional room with a single bed and big windows and a ventilation system. Really kind staff during my stay.

Busy staff!

We loved kayaking just minutes from the hotel, and enjoyed the amazing bike rides through the historic sites. The breakfast spread was excellent-so many tasty choices. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Top located in the middle of the town center. No parking available but parking places nearby.

Very loud! No sleeping possible with windows opened. We had midsummer party during our stay and Swedes can celebrate very long! Tip: Ask for rooms towards the garden.
